Homebuyers get so turned off by a messy home. Remember, less really is more and the less you have in the room, the better. Less makes a room look larger.
Outside your home, most people will drive by at least once when considering your home as a potential purchase.

  • Repaint walls in rooms in high traffic areas.
  • Choose a neutral paint color scheme.
  • Have carpet professionally cleaned.
  • Smell matters!
  • Fix leaks in ceilings and walls.
  • Put magazines in decorative baskets. Weed out those you don't need.
  • Make the most important rooms - kitchen and bathrooms - sparkle.
  • Keep bills and personal papers organized and out-of-sight.
  • Reduce the number of personal items and clutter (memorabilia, etc.)
    in each room, to make the house seem cleaner.
  • Keep children's toys organized and in one area.
  • Replace broken, dirty or outdated blinds and curtains.
  • Clean closets and put items in plastic storage containers.
